There are so many reasons to be positive about the direction of the pandemic in Canada. With the vaccine rollout accelerating across the country, many officials are expressing hopefulness about what’s ahead — and this could have positive impacts on immigration.
PNP NEWS:
- March 11: Manitobainvited 299 candidates, including 35 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.
- March 9: British Columbiainvited 95 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through a Tech Pilot draw targeting four streams of the BC PNP.
- March 3: Ontarioinvited 126 Express Entry candidates through the French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream.
- March 3: Alberta announced the results of a draw on February 16 in which 159 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 352.
- March 2: British Columbiainvited 418 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. A separate draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 26 additional candidates.
- March 2: Ontarioinvited 754 Express Entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities stream. This was a targeted draw which only selected candidates with work experience in one of 10 priority occupations.
- February 26: Manitobainvited 207 candidates, including 5 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.
- February 25: Saskatchewan invited 299 candidates from the Express Entry stream of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
- February 23: British Columbiainvited 87 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through a Tech Pilot draw targeting four streams of the BC PNP.
- February 18: PEI invited 102 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 19 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
- February 16: British Columbiainvited 459 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. A separate draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 35 additional candidates.
- February 16: British Columbiaofficially lifted special measures that has excluded 31 occupations for consideration in PNP draws throughout the pandemic.
- February 16: Ontarioinvited 1,186 Express Entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities stream. This was a Tech draw which only selected candidates with work experience in one of six tech occupations.
- February 16: Alberta announced the results of a draw on February 10 in which 200 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 301.
