Ireland’s school year runs from September through July. The majority of Ireland’s university courses start in September, although some courses begin in January and February as well. The start date of your course can be reviewed using our course scan.

For each intake, the deadlines are normally a few months before the start date. To optimize your chances of entry, it is strongly recommended that you apply early. Some colleges also offer rolling applications, i.e. admissions are valid during the year.

  • •    Degree of Bachelor: Approx. £6,000-£9,000
  • •    Degree of Master: Approx. £10,000-£16,000

Additional fees for Overseas Students

  • •    Normal cost of living: from £5,000-£8,000 approx.

Foreign students pay higher tuition rates than domestic students and cover their rent and living expenses as well. Fortunately, funding and resources for part-time jobs to top up funds are open.

Job part-time:

  • •    Of course, if you have feedback and referrals from your peers who have already served in that particular career or from a person in the same culture, you will get good jobs.
  • •    Please realize that, unlike the US, Ireland is a small country. So, part time work figures are very scarce.
  • •    The minimum wage here is EUR 8.65 per hour and students can lawfully work up to 20 hours a week during holidays and 40 hours a week (the vacation periods would be mentioned by the respective colleges and Universities you are enrolled in).
